A few days ago a lot of Arsenal fans (including me) were complaining about our lack of transfer activity. BOOM! A week later and we have signed three world-class players. We needed a wide player who can run with the ball (Pepe), an Aaron Ramsey replacement (Ceballos) and someone to fix our leaky defence (Saliba). The only thing I would ask for now is another centre back because Saliba isn’t joining us until next year. Today I will be writing about Nicolas Pepe.

Nicolas Pepe is a 24-year-old Ivorian winger who was born in France. He has played for Angers and Lille. We signed him for a club record fee of £72m which makes him the 20th most expensive player of all time! Fun fact, when Pepe first started playing football he was a goalkeeper! We beat several teams including Bayern Munich, Napoli and Manchester United to the signature of Pepe. He scored 22 goals and had 11 assists last season. He will wear number 19 next season. He has said that he is excited to play alongside Lacazette, Aubameyang and Ozil!

In conclusion, I am very happy with this signing and think that it is a great piece of business. Hopefully he performs as well for us as he did for Lille because that is pretty well.
